- I AM A VISITOR IN YOUR WORLD features no interviews. The intention of the film is to be in contact with a a different kind of perception. We witness the main character's struggle with her disease first hand, raw. We follow her while she fights against a medical system, which penalizes the already penalized patients. We look at the love between her and her mother. In a way, the disease itself seems to play a secondary role. What we see is universal. It is a film about love.—Anonymous
- A documentary about Rebecca Babcock, a twenty something young woman stricken with terminal cancer. The film picks up in the later stages and focuses on their battle of; trying to assembling a new lifestyle and a new approach to dealing with medical costs associated with her illness. The intention of the film is to show the audience cancer from the patient and patient's family perspective which can be (and typically is) a different perspective than 'normal' people. Rebecca gives us a raw look inside her head as she struggles with daily life. We feel her frustration of having to not only endure the pain and fatigue that comes with cancer, but the mental stresses which medical bills add to her battle. We see Rebecca turn to music and tattoos to 'escape' and have a sense of 'control' of a disease she has no control over. This film is also a story of love between a mother and daughter. And we discover along our journey, that in a way, the disease itself seems to play a secondary role. This was a well done film. Other than self interviews by Rebecca that she posts on her blog, there are no interviews. The use of music to supplement Rebecca's moods and state of mind was brilliantly done. The film was able to help the audience see a different perspective. One of peace and acceptance, balanced with a warrior's will to survive. A beautiful collaboration of: strength, weakness, hope, love and reality.—D. Latham
