I don't really what to say about this strange movie. First, it looks more like a play as it's a Christmas Eve with several couples reunited in a mansion. Like mostly all movies based plays, the pace is slow, dull and very talkative so in other words, not very cinematic! Next, if it's a comedy, it's not funny and it's a drama, it's too stupid. The characters are really disparate as we have the usual French bourgeois with a detective and a rap singer! My biggest disappointment is that the Christmas season is only a pretext as the spirit of this holiday never taints the movie. It's maybe about families but it's not familial and for those who think it's a French vision of "Christmas vacations" or "home for the holidays", well, it's not. Geraldine does a good job as a wife, ex-wife, mother but we are faraway of having her in an engaging movie.
