"Der blinde Fleck" (eng: the blind spot) is a true crime thriller based on the investigation of the Bavarian journalist Ulrich Chaussy, who had the order to report about the bomb attack of the Oktoberfest. While researching the files, he found many clues and traces, that there had been more suspects than just one person, as the police stated.
Because of the evidence he found, Chaussy and Werner Dietrich, the lawyer of the victims, gave effort to reopen the case of the Oktoberfest-Bombing. But German prosecution refused, until the success of "Der blinde Fleck", which made the pressure to strong to ignore. On December 11th of 2014, the German prosecution declared the case officially reopened to further investigations.
