I was surprised by this French little more or less horror plot, involving the innocence of a young boy and some pagan spirit. It concerns the hunting as it is usually practiced in France, in the countryside. There are several ways to analyze this short film. It can be seen as a kind of an anti hunt message, or as a depiction of the psychology of a young boy, and also a tribute to some American horror films inspired by Stephen King for instance. It is a bit disturbing, as was THE WICKER MAN, and the climax is quite interesting, opening the way to many questions. Yes, a good short film, much better than many other ones.
