There are some wonderful numbers. The Famous as Hell song would stand the test of any Broadway masterpiece. The hilarious stuff going on in the butcher shop where the orphans are going to become the meat products unavailable otherwise to the butcher. The kids are so charming as they seem to welcome being for sale in the meat counter. The other pairs are having trouble. And Melissa is vilified for being an opportunist and taking the lead at the cabaret. It is also revealed to us that the rich guy who owns half of Schmicago wants Melissa for his new bride (two of the previous ones had been murdered by him). So we are set for the finale.
