The film "You Can Count on Count" mentioned in the podcast is a micro short film written by Jordan Sellers used as part of a university project. Hugo, the antagonist of "You Can Count on Count" is actually not a character in the original micro short, but instead the protagonist in an upcoming short film called "Thirst Trap".
The filmmakers were working on a different short film and didn't have to return the equipment until the following evening so they decided to use it on a final spur of the moment idea, which became "The Long Shadow". The film was blocked out about 30 minutes before shooting commenced.
