Major Resemblance to Modern Times in the Middle East
meena92731 June 2024
Hitler's personality and political approach as told in this brilliant documentary remind me of Benjamin Netanyahu and the late Saddam Hussain's. They all are/were attached to reigns and power at the expense of civilian lives.

The concentration camps Hitler gradually built over time show great resemblance to how Israel has been eradicating Palestinians in Gaza when Israel's systematic genocidal war started in October 2023: In the Nazis times, it started with the "eradication" and "elimination" of Jewish elites in the society. Mirror this to Palestinian academics and doctors since the academics are the ones who would document and analyze their tragedies to the rest of the ignorant World, and the doctors would work on saving the wounded women and children. Now, of course Israel could not deport Palestinians by shipping them on trains to gas chambers; but they told them to travel to so-called "safe zones" by however transportation means. And when Palestinians arrived at the target zones and settled themselves in camps, Israeli bombs fell on them overnights.

One of the speakers in the documentary warns of people who are receptive of injustice and destruction because they have no leading figure to trust or "save" them (she was speaking about German civilians and Nazi leaders who were desperate to live at the time, by obeying Hitler). In modern times, Zionist money and lobby is doing just that. The US Government, the UK Government, and many others are silent (if not cheering) for Israel's crimes against Palestinians because these nations are benefiting from Israel. History repeats itself, with modern means of injustice and inhumanity.

Fascinating glimpses beyond the usual cliches
rhb-5169910 October 2023
So much has been written about Hitler and the Nazis, it's sometimes hard to see beyond the caricatures. He was evil, the devil, inhuman, incomprehensible, mad, insane... yet so often the standard narrative struggles to create the context, explain the circumstances or explore the man and his motives.

This excellent series does just that. Through first hand accounts from those who actually knew him, and by showing translations of his speeches (so often presented without translations, instead just showing his mad rantings) we are given a glimpse into the bizarre, twisted world view of this strange, soulless, narcissistic man and the turbulent times that allowed him to thrive.

The parallels to today's turbulent times, and our own strange, soulless, narcissistic man are obvious and yet all the more frightening given how this series demonstrates how one seemingly small piece of craziness, unchecked and unhindered - encouraged even - when added to more and more small pieces of craziness can end up creating one giant-sized catastrophe.

"Make Germany Great Again"
vaudeville198015 August 2023
Wow! The parallels to today's USA politics is frightening. "Make Germany Great Again", "Fake News" and "the press is the enemy of the people" are all quotes translated from some of Hitler's actual speeches. Sound familiar? Then there are the other scary and disturbing similarities to todav's political environment.

This is probably the most intense and frightening short docu-series I've ever seen about the rise and fall of Adolph Hitler and the Nazi party I have ever seen.

This should be required viewing for all schools as early as middle school when the events and consequences can be more fully understood.
