At approximately 13:30, Detective Hilton says "I don't know, sounds like a bit of a leap". His very next line is "A couple of calls? Did I say reach? I misspoke. I meant leap." He did not, in fact, say reach in the first place. However, in the captions/subtitles he does say reach.
Detective Lance asks one of his colleagues to find someone from Merlyn to "answer some questions... under oath." Witnesses and even suspects are not questioned under oath in a police station; the oath comes when they are testifying before a court of law.
