It's ok, not too bad

I watched the old version when I was young, I think the remake version is kinda good, although the 2 main actresses weren't as good as the old version but they do their job well, especially when 60% chinese movies nowaday are full of crap, especially remake movie.

I also prefer the 2 ML than the old version, I didn't read the novel so I'm not sure which one is more accurate, but new Tian Lei is more softer and look more like a gentleman, I never like old Yuan Bu Qu, I don't know why the old version choose the actor that looked too old when Du Bing Yan looked too young, they look so weird and look more like father-daughter or uncle-newphew than husband & wife ( in my opinion ), the new version was better, at least, when they kissed, I never feel youni feeling and thousand of llamas run across my head.

The story starts out as two brides prepare to travel towards the homes of their future husbands. Half way through their voyage they take refuge in a temple and while the rain continues to come down on them they become "sisters". When the rain finally stops they put bck their veils and each go their seperate ways.

It is only whebn they each arrive at their destination that they realize they had gotten in the wrong carriage.

What to do? Do she tells her husband her true identity?

They decide to keep things they are. As they days go by and they get into the hang of their new lives they realize that maybe the mixup was for the better.

Through the intrigues, murder plots, protecting the borders, even the Emperor trying to plot your wedding with his daghter in the end even if they got into the wrong carriage they found the right husband.

Really cute with a good ending, can't go wrong! How come the villain's get the best skin-ship bed scenes? The general and his wife never even kissed once, main couple were more playful and at least better at kissing! I liked all the other couples too. I understand it's a remake of a classic...want to see that now! Enjoyed it, highly recommended and not to many episodes to get bogged down!

I am watching the older classic version now...totally different! The new one spends more time on the mix up and why it happened. The old one is confusing in the first few episodes and finally settles into the story. Not as many cute couples either. To me the new is better than the old version.

Funny, heartwarming romance with amazing actors!

I loved this drama, and not just for good looking actors. The lead pairs were great, with excellent chemistry, the plot was good, and I loved that the pairs were able to overcome every hurdle that came their way, and that the female leads were intelligent, courageous, quick witted, and not just pretty faces. The master and his wife couple were the icing on the cake, and Pingwei and the princess looked cute together. I loved Tian Xi Wei in A new life begins, so she was my biggest motivation for watching this series, Ao Rui Peng was a surprise find, and I cannot wait to check out more of his dramas. I saw Zhan Yu in The Legend of Zhouhua too and he was awesome in that as well as this series. It was my first time watching Bai Bing Ke and Zhao Shun Ran, and they were both phenomenal. Another good thing about this series was that the bad guys kept plotting but the good ones always one upped them, this is rarely seen. In most shows, the good guys keep getting beat up and only win in the end, but here they came out victorious in each and every situation. This was a welcome change. I like how Chinese dramas have changed the portrayal of female leads from just pretty faces, to intelligent and capable.
