The Best Man opens with a rescue mission as a group of mercenaries rescue an American woman kidnapped in Mexico. Despite being much better equipped than the kidnappers they take casualties including Axel who take a bullet to the skull and is left for dead. A year later that woman, Brook, is marrying Cal, one of the men who saved her. His cousin Bradley is the best man and another of the crew, Anders is also going to be there.
Brook’s father has rented a huge, remote resort for the ceremony, but they may have wished they chose a more urban location when a team of heavily armed wedding crashers show up.

International distributors will get a first look at action thriller “Gasoline Alley” at the upcoming Cannes Market. The film, which stars Bruce Willis, Luke Wilson and Devon Sawa, is represented by Highland Film Group.
The project was first announced at the European Film Market in Berlin, around the time that it was moving into production. Principal photography has now wrapped after set-ups in multiple U.S. locations.
The action follows a take-no-prisoners kind of company boss, played by Sawa, who is accused of a triple murder in Hollywood. He subsequently allies with the two tough detectives (Willis and Wilson) on his tail. And together they uncover a much larger truth than any one of them had imagined.
“Gasoline Alley” is directed by Edward Drake, who recently directed Willis in “Cosmic Sin.” The screenplay is by Tom Sierchio (“The Girl Who Invented Kissing”).
Corey Large and Sierchio are producing the film with BondIt Media Capital financing.

“Cosmic Sin” helmer Edward Drake, who reunites with Willis for the film, directs from a script by Tom Sierchio (“The Girl Who Invented Kissing”). Production will begin in early March across the U.S.
Sawa stars as Jimmy Jayne, a “bruise-fisted” boss-type who becomes implicated in the triple murder of three Hollywood starlets drowned in a luxury hotel pool. As the prime suspect for homicide detectives Freeman (Willis) and Vargas (Wilson), Jimmy takes up his own rogue investigation, bending the law in ways the police can’t in order to clear his name.

One of the favorites heading into this year’s Canneseries Short-Form Competition has to be the star-studded anthology series “Do Not Disturb,” spearheaded by the U.K.’s Pulse Films in association with Blackpills Studio.
Michael Haussman and Larry Volpi created the series, and its nine, 10-minute episodes were written by the two along with Olivia Poulet, Mike O’Leary, Nida Manzoor and Davey Spens.
“Do Not Disturb” takes the audience behind the little plastic placards we hang on hotel-room door handles when we need a nap, want to be left alone, or perhaps up to something a bit more adult, as is often the case in this show.
Some episodes are comedies, some terrifying and others sultry, but each explores the darker side of humanity that is often kept behind closed doors.
The series’ directors include Haussman, Jude Law, Jake Chapman, Mounia Akl, Dylan Southern, Will Lovelace, Zoe Casavettes and Matthew Huston.

"Says you're not from 'round here. Come here to make trouble?" An official trailer has arrived online for an indie drama titled The Girl Who Invented Kissing, starring up-and-coming actress Suki Waterhouse as a "nameless, pill-popping drifter girl" who steps off of a bus and into a neighborhood bar owned by two middle-age brothers. The film hasn't played at many festivals, but seems to have that indie vibe, with some mysterious twists and turns, and emotional stakes that push the plot along. The Girl Who Invented Kissing full cast includes Vincent Piazza, Dash Mihok, Abbie Cornish, Luke Wilson, Corey Large, Johnny Messner, and Michael Buscemi. This seems like a quirky, oddly sweet story and I'm not sure if the plot is about these two older guys falling for this young girl or what exactly, but it seems interesting. Check it out. Here's the first trailer for Tom Sierchio's The Girl Who Invented Kissing,...
