Warning: Spoilers
Bottom of the table blockbuster here, both sides with 16 losses on the trot. McGovern and Barrass still out for West Coast. Hurn's actually assigned some responsibility for the first time ever, on Larkey. Turner with a nice smother and goal to open proceedings, the Eagles reply. Allen with a good contested mark and goal, the Eagles forwards really threatening, West Coast up 19 at the quarter break. Reliable Cripps slot his second, before North get multiple run in goals in succession. Yeo brought on as the sub, Curtis kicks his fourth. Allen takes another good grab and kicks a good goal, the Eagles up 7 at the half. Not sure why they persist with Stephenson, isn't AFL level. Hurn actually doing a good job on Larkey and West Coast kicks away again, with a commanding 31-point lead going into 3-quarter time. North cut into some of the deficit in the 4th and go on to bring it back within a goal. The Eagles get over the line by 5 points, with Yeo saving them multiple times down the stretch. The Kangaroos dominate the hit-outs and were +13 in the clearances, the Eagles with much more of the footy and more tackles applied, 26 of them inside 50. West Coast with 14 more inside 50's, for 6 more scoring shots. Cripps best afield, with 18 disposals, 11 tackles, 2 goals and an assist. Hurn 21 disposals all effective and 7 intercepts. Allen 2 contested marks, 2 goals and an assist. Darling 18 disposals, 3 contested marks, 6 tackles, a goal and an assist. For North, Curtis 15 disposals, 2 contested marks and 4 goals. Davies-Uniacke 30 disposals, 8 clearances, 6 inside 50's, 6 tackles, 566 metres gained, a goal and an assist.
