No pun intended - this short is meant to be the beginning or prelude of something bigger. And seeing Christoph Maria Herbst in this role was quite something. Unfortunately I was not at a screening where he attended (he was in a different city that Fantasy Filmfest played in). Even so, those who know him (his work), surely were positively surprised by the turn and performance in this one.
The short movie hopefully is successful enough to birth the feature length the story this is trying to tell deserves. I do not know the book this is based on, but the snippet, the short glimpse we got to see is making us curious about the rest .. so bring it on ... especially with that ending, that can not be satisfying otherwise ... for anyone.
