It's Good

The Episode was ok, they gave us another one of those episodes that focus mostly on whats happening with the side characters. It's good and important that they had this episode, because it's what also builds up to how everyone escapes Onigashima, Lets put it this way, you're always looking for progress when you're waiting for something to load. These episodes are the instructions and patterns that lead to the progress. This episode hit us with a lot of this progress with how Raizo shoots all this water too stop the flames that are inside Onigashima. Which connects to the side cast trying to get the hell out of there. But are you really gonna put it in between a fight that has been anticipated for almost a year? I would say do this, but do it each episode of the fight. Also they kind of fumbled on the Luffy grabbing lightning part. But overall, not a bad episode.

One piece is the GOAT

Just reminding you that the animators worked 6 months for gear 5. The previous episode was fire as hell but this one is really great . It seemed like the animators did care about that episode because the animation was as great as the previous . If this fight was supposed to break the internet then I'm greatfull. I'm really wanna for this great episode. It looks like that the next episode might be great because we have know that the production will be great maybe too good tha they don't want to show it.

I'am greatful with this episode and I am giving her 10/10 . Because it's a weekly anime and it's my Goat.

One piece

W episode this was one of my favorite one piece episodes I love how they added the lighting scene it was so beautiful and stunning. I've been so hyped for gear 5 since the trailer for the teaser it was so good. One piece is my favorite anime series and I love how they keep going crazy every single episode I can't express how beautiful this episode was this is going in my top 10-5 episodes of all time of anime/one piece episode. I can't wait for the next Episode im so excited I've been waiting for the climax of this battle for so long now im so happy that it's finally here for all the one piece fans to see.

Boring stretched episode

Well this was just boring. I get they are probably following the manga but this episode could've happened before gear 5 and should've happened before it. Same with the orochi hiyori stuff, it just takes away from everything that happened last episode. Last episode was fast paced and great, but this episode was slow and stretched out with very little actually happening. Everything here could've been done in 5 minutes or less. But it seems we're going to get another crazy episode in 2 weeks if one piece follows their trend of taking a break then delivering a crazy good episode. But this was bad in animation and pacing

The episode starts with Luffy and Kaido fighting a bit. Then we go inside of onigashima to the straw hats and allies trying to avoid the fires inside. Raizo and jimbei meet up and it's revealed that Raizo gathered water from zou inside a scroll before going to wano. He uses it and releases water throughout onigashima with the help of jimbei controlling where the water goes. And lastly Luffy jumps up into the clouds and grabs a lighting bolt from a cloud then the episode ends

That is literally all that happens in this episode, the last scene was moving a png luffy. This is easily the worst episode of one piece since episode 1037 and it could be worse because I don't quite remember that episode but it was rated really low. I know it may seem like I'm being to harsh but we just got one of the biggest anime transformations ever and then this episode followed it. Even in the bad pacing slow episodes usually something note worthy happens but here nothing made me excited. I hope everything pays off in 2 weeks

Inconsistent animation ruins the show

Just reminding you that the animators worked 6 months for gear 5. The previous episode was fire as hell but this one is really disappointing tbh. It seemed like the animators didn't even care about that episode because the animation was as bad as meliodas vs escanor. If this fight was supposed to break the internet then I'm disappointed. I'm really sad ti say but they fumbled gear5. It looks like that the next episode might be filled because we don't get a preview or the animation might be so bad in the next or maybe too good tha they don't want to show it. Either way disappointing episode 4/10.

Average episode, but i believe the next one be so much better.

This episode has disappointed in several ways. First, in his pretty boring story. The episode didn't show us too many sections from the chapter 5, and even when it showed, these were very reasonable sections and the lightning section was pretty bad. But don't catch me in the word, I'm sure the animation of the lightning (and of the whole episode, at all) was reasonable that in the next episode was going to be an excellent animation, like chapter 1072. Most of the ep was about the fire story, and the best part is in the Razo thing, and once Raizo's section is not a good thing at all, you should realize that the episode wasn't that exciting. Now, it's not that the episode is bad, it's average, 5-6 out of 10. He is like boiled chapters like he was in Adon prison. Although I very much want to see the next chapter (especially see its promo), I am satisfied that if there is a two-week break, it is both for rest and for them to work well on the next episode.

What was that?

I'm fine when it comes to not having constant decent animation after the 2 amazing episodes we got before, however when the direction is utterly bad there is no saving an episode. This one is a good example of bad direction.

Here are my pro and con of this ep.

Con: 1. Unnecessary recaps: as usual, but 9-10 minutes of it is outrages.

2. The extended scences: I know that they usually have to drag out some scenes, but this was a bit much, like Luffy grabbing Lightning was suppose to be a surprise scene. We didn't need to see a lead up towards it.

3. The end of the ep: It somehow managed to make me appreciate the ending of that Kanjuro episode and that should say a lot in itself on how bad this was.

Pro: 1. Good Animation parts:

• Trading blows with Kaido
• Sanji kicking the debris away
• JinbeixRaizo

2. The perfect dialog added: "It almost hit my crotch!" -Luffy

And that was all.

It's one of those uninteresting episdoes

This episode is exactly like those ones that you just want to pass by to wait for the next one in One Piece, it's time wasting episode with only 2-3 mins of decent content.

My rating my sound harsh but that's for a reason, Gear 5 fight is the most hyped One Piece fight ever, I never seen One Piece was this hyped for the 22 years I have been watching it, SO WHY THE NEED TO RUIN IT!!!!!!

Why not for once make fans excited episode after episode like any other anime out there, why keep this stupid pace in a time One Piece is most hyped anime out there? I understand if this was done pre or post Gear 5, but not during, first Hiyori and now this....

There's one thing it seems Toei didn't understand and that's: when you create teasers and notice all this hype, make sure you live up to it than dissapoint your fans, but so far the inconsistency is simply not acceptable....

GEAR 5 FLOPPED

As a someone who has been hyping up gear 5 to be animated ever since it came out in the manga i can say i have been very disappointed. How can an episode which had months of production have such terrible adaptation to the manga that last scene when luffy holds lightning was such a disgrace to the manga same with giant luffy in 1072 which was in PRODUCTION FOR 7 MONTHS! And they were saying that gear 5 was going to be better animated then 1062. I know really hope that 1074 will be better then this garbage we got and if they somehow fails again then consider gear 5 as a FAIL. Just very disappointing and how inconsistent the one piece anime.
