Worth every second
omardraws15 January 2024
I found this movie by total coincidence and somehow I loved it as the first Arabic musical it's a miracle that the cast had enough talent to make this. It didn't actually contain much of the daddy-long-legs book Wich it is inspired by but it actually was good too. And luckily there is a second movie coming out soon. The actors made their roles very well the characters I loved the most were sukkar, balalaika, and tareq. I think the movie is too underrated for 6 out of 10 review but I hope it's getting better with time. The movie is a masterpiece compared to other musicals I watched and it's worth the time you will spend watching it. But the only issue is that you need to understand every word they say containing the songs. Try to avoid google translate cause the arabic translation is totally messed up. Can't wait for the second movie.

Unnecessary stuff shoved in
simplykeii24 January 2024
This movie contains many unnecessary stuff and songs. I literally zoned out multiple times during the movie and I did not miss anything out. Also, this movie has no plot. It is just about the life of a few orphans with just a few happening. The values, songs and scenes are aesthetically pleasing. So you would probably like it if you do not focus on the plot that much. Another thing that irritated me is mixing between Standard Arabic and dialects, that was too much that I started to get bored. Long story short, if you care about the plot the most and get irritated by mixed dialects (Like me), this movie is not for you. If you care about side stuff the most and mixed dialects don't irritate you, you might like it.

Waste of time

This movie is a mishmash of Arabic that's so confusing, it's like they used Google Translate on a bad day. The attempt at mixing modest and modern Arabic is a trainwreck - they couldn't even pronounce the modest phrases right! Whoever penned this script needs a crash course in storytelling. It's a total flop - no drama, no comedy, not even a semblance of a plot. Save yourself the agony; don't waste a minute on this disaster. Not a single person in my family could tolerate it. Don't even think to watch this movie.

I endured 50 excruciating minutes of this 80-minute disaster and couldn't decipher its point amidst the trash heap it presented.
