Bejamin Lebel has invited by the brootherhood of Wine Tasters in Burgundy. When the wine tasting begins appears Bernard Aristide, an important wine merchant and member of the brotherhood: he asks Benjamin Lebel to move from his seat and begins to taste wine. Suddenly he falls down. The wine he drank was poisoned. Immediately the editor of the local mewspaper writes that Benjamin escape to a murder attempt. Then Benjamin begins his own investigation: he knos that Barnard Aristide had some quarrels with the brothers Monclart and tries to to speak with them, because they don't ant to speak. What about Roger Vincenot, the organizer of the event who has a love affair with the wife of Aristide ? Some hours later the brothers Monclart died also by ricin poisoning.
