Fifth episode to be filmed in San Francisco.
Fifth "music tribute" episode, where most of the music featured is by a certain band or artist. This one is for RJD2 and partially for Flight of the Conchords ("Life's a Happy Song", sung by Brody, is written by Bret McKenzie, a member of the band, and "Hiphopopotamus v. Rhymenoceros" is played on Alec's iPod in the hotel room).
Second episode to be filmed on a large body of water: The San Francisco Bay.
The café at Ghirardelli Square is the same one from "Christmas 2010".
At the Winchester Mystery House, a sign reading "Fresh Popocorn" is seen briefly. The extra "o" in "Popocorn" serves a greater purpose. Sarah Winchester, the woman who had the house built was very superstitious, and was obsessed with the number 13. "Fresh Popocorn" has 13 letters, thanks to the extra "o".
