Warning: Spoilers
Normally I'm willing to give Law and Order some latitude, and the first 20 or so minutes kept us on the edge of our seat as to whether political forces were at play, but then the writers appeared to draw on contemporary events like a kitchen sink being thrown in and chained to the script.

Anyway, Sabrina Schlegel-Mejia does a decent job as Darina Meleshko, and hopefully Schlegel-Mejia can get more roles. Who knows, maybe she will pop up in a later season as one of the detectives or an assistant district attorney, as it's not uncommon for actors to have played a minor role before stepping up to play a major role, e.g. Harry Morgan in M*A*S*H.

Warning: Spoilers
With an episode title named after an iconic sitcom you probably expected a better episode than this, but we did not get that at all.

Law and Order feels like it is kind of coasting and resting on its laurels this season, which is such a disappointment. While every episode of SVU or Organized Crime is not great, it feels like they at least try to break the mold from time to time and try to give us something unique and fresh and different, but not here.

The new DA is just not working at all. It was always going to be difficult to replace Jack McCoy, but this was not the right casting move at all.
