The Mummy hits theatres June 9th and is the first monster movie of Universal’s new Monster Universe. This “shared universe” will include rebooted versions of original monster movies including Dracula, Wolf Man, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Van Helsing, and the Invisible Man.
Sofia Boutella (Star Trek Beyond, Kingsman: The Secret Service) plays the title monster in The Mummy and from what we’ve seen in trailers we can’t imagine anyone else in the role. Universal has already cast Johnny Depp as the Invisible Man and Javier Bardem as Frankenstein in upcoming remakes… but that still leaves plenty of monsters to be cast. So, we’ve taken the liberty of "fantasy casting" the remaining monsters with actors/actresses we think would be perfect for the roles.
