Frem vs Bris, at Optus Stadium.

Warning: Spoilers
Key outs in Neale and Darcy for either side. Hipwood kicks the opener for Brisbane and Freo with multiple blunders, gifting early goals. The Lions controlling field position, Banfield gets the Dockers on the board late in the term and they follow it with another, Brisbane up 13 at quarter-time. Starcevich with good presence, a quality contested mark and smother. The Dockers bring it back and even hit the lead, with their physicality around the ball picking up and kicking 6 on the trot. Amiss with a good grab and goal to make it 7, putting the Dockers up 18 going into halftime. Daniher goals from 50 to stop the drought, but Fremantle kicks on, the margin 38 at 3-quarter time. Hipwood goals from 50, then McCarthy under pressure on the boundary. The Lions miss some set-shots though and Amiss settles for Freo, with a very good kicking action. Fremantle home by 23 points, in a pretty big upset you could say, despite being at home. Fyfe looking pretty good, without dominating the game or anything. The hit-outs were even, Freo +7 in the clearances and had more of the footy, applying 12 more tackles. Brisbane with 8 more inside 50's, for 3 less scoring shots. Serong best afield, with 46 disposals, 10 clearances, 7 tackles and an assist. Ryan 33 disposals, 29 effective, 11 intercepts and 817 metres gained. Amiss didn't touch it much, but 4 goals. For Brisbane, Andrews 21 disposals, 20 effective, 2 contested marks and 12 intercepts. Daniher 20 disposals, 12 marks, 10 inside 50's, 645 metres gained, 3 goals and an assist.

3. (Fre) C. Serong, 2. (Bri) H. Andrews, 1. (Fre) L. Ryan.
