Running Erins is an authentic scripted docu-comedy set on the upper east of New York City.
We center around Erin, a bubbly, lovable 40ish single mother of a spunky 6-year-old, Milo. Three years after the unexpected closure of her neighborhood yoga studio, House of Jai, Erin still feels the heavy loss of her yoga community and the identity it gave her as a popular, well known figure in her neighborhood. Erin pivots her focus to Milo's school, East River Prep, pouring all of her positive energy into building her own utopia. Though the world at school is small, her thirst to lead has her rising to the task of being class mom and social director.
Finally, Erin has found her bliss: balancing motherhood, friendship, and a...unique love life. Convinced it will be her best year ever, Erin counts down the end of summer, and embraces the arrival of her new roommate (best friend party boy "bro") Adrian, who hopes to make a fresh a start and finally get out of his state of arrested development.
With news from Bro that Erin's former House of Jai landlord, RFF, has moved across the street, Erin starts the first day of school winded. Adding to the pressure is the arrival of a new school mom (Cameron's Mom) who greets her with an unexpected axe to grind. It becomes clear that Erin is not prepared with the tools to cope as her perfect bubble begins to leak air, and her crew of moms are increasingly drawn to Cameron's Mom.
As Erin prepares for her first moms social of the year, she pulls out all the stops to ensure the "best moms night ever". Stumbling with first ever social anxiety, Erin gets in her own way, leaving herself vulnerable to her newfound nemesis. With an agenda to usurp the role of class mom and push Erin out of her tribe, Cameron's Mom seems like the cat who got the cream... but Erin isn't going down without a fight.
