26-minutes video that touched my soul

Immigrated from China on a student Visa, I am a paper kite as well. There is always a lingering thread that links me back to my home town, often I would visit in my dreams. Our life is fragile as we struggle in-between two drastically different cultures, and social politics. Our dream for independence and freedom could be shattered by any of the following: Visa, green card, language and social barriers, financial difficulties, and racial discrimination.. Our life is usually tore apart on two continents that are moving away from each other at a very fast pace. Our struggle, as demonstrate by the film, often touches the basics of humanity.

My eyes were filled with tears because this movie touched my personal experience with pin-pointed accuracy.

Well executed movie with limited length and resources. Kudos to the young graduates from Emerson college!
