It's alright.

I watched episode one. The story and characters are realitivly interesting and the art style is nice. I'm not super compelled to keep watching but if you like cliche anime girl gangs and the general "death game genre" then you'll probably like this.

Riddle Story of Devil
Tweekums2 July 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Protagonist Tokaku Azuma comes from a long line of assassins and when she is sent to the Myojo Academy she finds herself in Class Black; this isn't like other classes… it consists of twelve assassins and one target! There are rules of course; each assassin must tell the target, Haru Ichinose, that they are preparing to strike and then they have forty eight hours to kill her; those who fail must leave and the one who succeeds will have any wish fulfilled. Tokaku decides that she will not play along and announces that she will protect Haru from the others.

This was a rather enjoyable series even though it essentially had an 'assassin of the week' format; so much so that each episode had a different end title sequence and song that fitted to that episodes attacker. The various assassins are all quite different so things don't get too repetitive. While each episode has its own story we do learn more about Tokaku and Haru as the series progresses and things do change a bit at the end once certain facts about them are revealed; for this reason it is necessary to watch the series in order… as well as the fact that the class size reduces as failed assassins are expelled! The tone of the series is quite dark and it is inevitably fairly violent; it isn't and gloom though; some humour is provided by Class Black's teacher who thinks it is a normal class and has no idea why his pupils keep leaving! Overall I'd certainly recommend watching this series.

These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.

Pretty badass Yuri anime!
Irishchatter6 June 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I loved watching this Yuri anime, it's pretty badass with full of pretty likable assassin women. This anime kinda reminds me Whitney Houston's movie "The bodyguard" because of the way Tokaku had to protect Haru from the girls trying to kill her and of course, Tokaku not being afraid to use her weapons whenever she needs them. Also the fact the "hidden romance" of Haru and Tokaku is slowly starting to develop. When I say slowly I meant slowly because Tokaku is a pretty stubborn character lol!

Although we don't get to see the two girls kiss in the anime, at least they do make love in the manga! Be aware of this if you prefer anime characters do make out haha!

Anyways this anime was the absolute best I've ever stumbled on and as well as Yuri, if you like action, adventure or serious drama, this is for you my friend!
