[John takes his tie off]
Alexa Taylor : Okay.
John Taylor : We gotta talk about Beau's drinking.
Alexa Taylor : Wait, what drinking?
John Taylor : The other night when we picked him up, he had been drinking.

John Taylor : Alexa, trust me. He smelled like it. He was drunk.

John Taylor : Um, our responsibility as parents? Beau's responsibility? We all signed that athletic code.
Alexa Taylor : John, look around you. Look at this mess. I can't deal with anything else right now. I can't.
John Taylor : Organizing those boxes is not as important as your family. Look, I've been praying about this.

Alexa Taylor : We caught Beau drinking at a party. He wasn't arrested but now my husband doesn't think he should get away with it.

John Taylor : [in bed, seeing Alexa crying at the window while it rains] Honey? Come back to bed.
Alexa Taylor : I feel like we've made a horrible mistake.
John Taylor : Well, we didn't. We did the right thing.

Alexa Taylor : But, *I* can go in there and tell them. It's your choice.

Alexa Taylor : Well, John and I have twins. My son is the star of the football team. My daughter is valedictorian.

Jezi Adams : I know, this is so unfair. He really shouldn't even be playing. I mean, my son got us here and he shouldn't have to share the field with Beau.

John Taylor : What about the necklace?

John Taylor : What's she talking about?
Jezi Adams : She exchanged your necklace for something better.

[John pulls the top of Alexa's shirt down to reveal that Alexa did in fact exchange it and she was wearing a bigger necklace]
Alexa Taylor : I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you, I was embarrassed.
John Taylor : You've been hiding this the whole time?
Jezi Adams : See, she's a hypocrite.
Grandma Loretta : Jezi, hush up. Everyone can see your roots. They're brittle and frosty and falling out.
Alexa Taylor : [to John] I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. There was just never the right time.
John Taylor : Nothing's good enough for you.
Alexa Taylor : I don't wanna to be that way anymore. I don't. I'm sorry.

Jezi Adams : [Alexa opens the door to find her neighbor, Jezi standing there, who is a huge smile on her face] Hi, honey!
Alexa Taylor : Hi.
Jezi Adams : I made you a casserole. I just know how hard it can be in times like these. So, I made you my favorite; cheese and broccoli.
[Alexa has a overly big smile on her face; annoyed by her, they hear crashing sounds]
Jezi Adams : How's it going in there? Oh, I'm sure it's just a crazy time. It sounds like a lot of commotion. Are you reorganizing?
[Alexa laughs nervously]
Jezi Adams : Really, how are you?
Grandma Loretta : [opens the door] Hi, Jezi, come in and see our new arrangement.
Jezi Adams : I'd love too!
Alexa Taylor : Oh, we're not done, so, maybe later.
Grandma Loretta : Oh, I want her opinion.
Alexa Taylor : Uh, thank you for the casserole, Jazi.
