The show has lost its humor, Mrs. Wolowitz is gone, Howard has become kind of boring & Sheldon is behaving like a normal person now... Amy is not nerdy anymore & Raj can speak in front of women without getting hammered Penny is no longer insulting the guys over their nerdy habits, & maybe Bernadette has become the most funny character of the show !! I miss the old times when Raj used to whisper something in Howard's ear, & then Howard used to make a funny comment, and when Penny used to have arguments with Sheldon on pointless issues !! At the moment the characters are just going through the motions, coz there is no major thing going on for them !!

Pay know attention to the reviews above mine. I will admit when I re-watch each season, there are a few episodes I skip cause I don't care for that episode, but it's still my top 10 favorite TV shows, ranking at # 10.

This episode starts out with Sheldon getting a copy of Scientific American where it talks about the discoveries he and Leonard made. Except, because of what Sheldon said in the interview, Leonard's name was not mentioned. He rationalizes all over the place. Soon a full scale war breaks out. Howard has the sorry task of dealing with his mother's belongings. This includes her food. This part just sort of dies at the end.
Not funny. Laugh track truly awful.

Not funny. Laugh track truly awful.
Talk about flogging a dead horse, and with a laugh track. Very insulting. Ugh.
This is just a story of unhappy people, with stupid people doing the wrong unfunny things to make them happy.

Warning: Spoilers
I have the first seven seasons on Blu-ray. I got the set for Christmas. For the heck of it, since I wanted to see how the show developed, I watched it from the very first episode, since I don't have a lot of time to binge watch, I'm only up through season 4. I've seen enough of the episodes in syndication to know this show has jumped over Jaws. My theory is the reason CBS renewed the show through season 10 is to keep their lock on Chuck Lorre's team for new comedies.
That said, this episode was an excellent way to send out Ms. Wolowitz. The fact it took them until 18 episodes into the season to pump out a laugh-worthy episode just shows that the jump over "Jaws" has been made.
Plus, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and Jim Parsons are starting to spread their wings into other major projects. If they want to keep their careers on track and out of the typecast trap, they're going to leave soon.
