Arrow is continuing to impress early on in season 3 just as season 2 did. Tonight wasn't full with as many surprises as the first few episodes, but it still proved to have many cool moments that teased the rest of the season.

Thea is back and I have to say the material this week was solid with her new and improved character arc. I don't buy into the fact that she will be in Starling City for good, but I buy that Ollie convinced her enough with his argument to come back. She only had a few months of training with Malcom, so I hardly believe she will be ready to suit up as a hero or villain on the show. It will be interesting to see when she finally does find out about Oliver being the Arrow and how far that will put her over the edge, or perhaps now that she has a few secrets of her own, that will change.

I think the side story with ARGUS was unnecessary and just provided us with the weekly gun and arrow fights. I almost would have liked to keep the episode calm and without the big action scenes, especially due to the emotionally draining first two episodes. The other side story with Felicity was a fun twist on what we usually get with her. It was pretty funny to see her struggling with providing intel to multiple people at once. Unfortunately, Ray Palmer didn't buy into her 'long story' excuse. The end of the episode gave us the first glimpse into how Palmer may eventually get into Team Arrow.

I still don't buy into Laurel as Black Canary. Like Thea, you need more than a few months of training to fight crime and handle deadly criminals. Sure it was cool to see Wildcat but I will wait to judge in whether that storyline will be worth our time. I think Laurel may be better off putting away criminals in the courthouse than on the streets. Lastly, seeing Malcom back as a regular character is very exciting and I cant wait to see the first interaction with him and Oliver.

Overall it was another great Arrow episode that did what a filler episode should do. Advanced the storyline and teased the future. Season 3 is looking great but that's normal for Arrow. It has really turned out to be one of the best shows on television.
