Yes, barfing is basic humour. But the basics, when executed correctly, are usually pretty solid. It wasn't really the barfing so much as the tension that build as you wait for Dylan to barf (I was cringing hard), and then things don't go exactly how you expect. Plausible potty humour is laudable, and this was a solid setup. It's a bit like a shaggy dog joke, where there's a lot of set up for a low brow punch line. I was skeptical about season 2 and it took me a long time to come back around and watch it but boy am I glad I did. Can't wait to see what comes, You like British humour or you don't.
