Humans and Inhumans
jayant-12125 May 2015
This was a great episode to build for the season finale(s). Coulson and Gonzales appeared to have made good with each other in the last episode, and the camaraderie continues. Both team up against Hydra at first to set up Avengers and later team up to track Inhumans.

THe episode took an interesting turns for the characters Jiaying, Cal, Coulson, May and Skye. Skye has seen good on both sides and her dialogues completely show that she deeply cares about both factions. Both Coulson and May continue their transformation and share their secrets. A very interesting turn is done by Cal in this episode which is clearly going to shape his behaviour and development into a formidable character in AoS universe.

However, the most interesting turn of events is seen for Jiaying. She has been a soft, motherly character who guides various inhumans into being something more but this episode makes her more colorful character.

Awesome episode, 9/10 (marks cut for moving far too many things in 40 mins)

It's not about always being right.

Coulson makes a comment in this episode that proves he SHOULD be the director. He says, 'It's not us vs them anymore Fitz, I haven't always made the right call'. Well no one in war always makes the right call. But being the Director of Shield isn't about making the right call every time. It's about his character, as a person. And Phil has character in spades. That was why I was really confused at how quickly everyone turned on him. To flip flop so easily? Especially May. How many times did she say she has his back? Only to get angry at him for keeping secrets, THAT HE NEEDED TO KEEP? What May should have said, is 'I have your back, until I don't agree with you'. Well maybe if you were Director, May, you wouldn't like people you consider to be friends throwing a tantrum because you have secrets. And then there's Mack. His speech at the end left me wanting him gone. 'I can't be in (insert any organization) if people like you are running it'. Damn, I thought that way of thinking went out in the 60's. Not a good look Mack, not good at all

Great episode, with a signature AoS twist that we should have seen a mile away but didn't...I am a big fan of how far Raina's character has come, in some shows, even main characters don't get that kind of development, but on this show, the secondary ones get great arcs too. As with last episode, my only issue is the age of Ultron connection is rather on the nose, I don't hate it as an mcu fan, but I acknowledge the quality overall suffered from it.

Warning: Spoilers
Awesome episode but Mack turned into a zombie a few episodes ago and tried to kill Coulson and everyone else but they took him back without question. Then he turns around and quits on Coulson bc he has some alien blood??? WHATEVER MACK!! And God I wish they'd kill that stupid Skye off finally. Her character has been nothing but a p.i.t.a since ep 1. So annoying!!! Such a whiny little beatcha. Ugh.
