- The spirit vines in Republic City start abducting people and it's up to Korra to figure out why.
- Spirit Vines have been capturing tourists, including Jinora, due to Kuvira tampering with the spirit vines at the Banyan Grove Tree. Korra tries to go to the spirit world in hopes of freeing Jinora and everyone else from their spiritual prisons. Korra ends up having another mental block of Zaheer trying to kill her. Mako decides to help Korra confront Zaheer in prison. Korra visits a restrained Zaheer at his new prison cell, the air bending criminal notices that the avatar hasn't been in the spirit world for three years. Korra angrily states that he tried to destroy her and she sarcastically thanks him for killing Hou-Ting and for letting Kuvira take power in the Earth Kingdom. Zaheer realizes his mistake and he agrees to help Korra overcome her mental block. With no options left, Korra accepts Zaheer's help, she is able to enter the spirit world again and she is able to reconnect with Raava. Korra is able to release Jinora and everyone else from their spiritual imprisonment. Outside the mountainside prison, Korra is finally able to accept what has happened to her. Meanwhile, Bolin and Varrick return to Republic City in hopes of warning everyone about the spirit weapon Kuvira is using to destroy the city. Bolin reconciles with Mako and Korra, but he is struggling to make amends with Opal. In Raiko's office, Asami has agreed to put aside her disdain towards Varrick in order to stop Kuvira. At Air Temple Island, Bolin apologizes to Opal for everything and he admits his love for her. Opal decides to let Bolin accompany her and Lin to save the Beifong family in Zaofu. Bolin readily accepts to help Opal save her family from Kuvira.—dawsonpersi
