It's Lauren's birthday and she tells Millie what she wants is for Mum and Dad to get back together. Millie thinks it's a terrible idea, but does her best to fulfil her sister's wish. Dad shows up and all looks rosy, but the party takes a sudden left turn with the appearance of Mum's personal trainer, Mike.

Mum and Mike plan a night out, but when their babysitter cancels, they decide to leave the girls with Mike's son Craig. He's their worst teenage nightmare, even though they've just met, and quickly shows them he's in charge. When they eventually get the better of him -they find out he needs to be handled with care, as they could be seeing a lot more of Craig in the future.

When Mike and Craig move in, Millie has to give up her room and share with Lauren, who's not happy about it. She goes over to Dad's - only to find midwife Amber has brought a patient home with her. Craig and Millie square off over territory and house rules, while Lauren finds out there's more to life than wardrobe space.

When Millie overhears Mum and Mike discussing a holiday in France, she contrives an invitation for herself and Lauren too. But maybe she should have waited to find out the details first. She tries to play Mum and Dad off against each other in the holiday stakes, but ends up with an epic fail for Lauren, Craig, and most of all, herself.

Lauren's favourite band are planning a secret gig, and she abandons her previous cinema-going plans with Millie in favour of seeing the Temper Hearts -- taking Amber with her. Feeling left out, Millie and Dad try to make some of their own plans, but things just aren't the same without Lauren and Amber. Mum tries to get Craig to share some family time, and soon regrets it.

Lauren's new smartphone is driving everyone mad. But when Mike finally confiscates it, it goes missing - and turns up in Millie's room. She's accused of stealing it, but although she knows she's innocent - she needs to prove it. Dad has to look after Fran and Jake, and gives them a bit too much freedom to explore their creativity.
