Oh goodness, this was a heck of a mess. Things kind of worked out and there were a couple of good laughs.

What is it with you Brits and Xmas specials?

Is it some kind of national law? Royal decree? Why does every single show in the U.K. need an annual Christmas special that's not a comedy or a drama but a syrupy sweet trite pile of cliches?
