Three members of the YouTube travel blogging group “High on Life” were killed after falling over a waterfall in Canada on Tuesday.
Police told the Vancouver Sun that Ryker Gamble, Alexey Lyakh and Megan Scraper — all in their late twenties and early thirties — were swimming at the top of Shannon Falls in British Columbia on Tuesday when they slipped and fell into a pool system 30 meters below. The paper reported the accident happened when Scraper slipped and the two men were pulled away with her while trying to save her.
“They were three of the warmest, kindest, most driven and outgoing people you could ever meet,” the group — which posts videos of their travel adventures and counts half a million subscribers on YouTube and more than one million followers on Instagram — said in a video posted to the collective’s official page Friday. “And the world has lost a great...

Yesterday morning Sony Pictures Home Entertainment intended to drop a red-band trailer for Khali the Killer on YouTube, but posted the near-90 minute movie instead. The video reportedly drew 11K views before being pulled down after eight hours.
The movie was written and directed by Jon Matthews and headlines Mayans M.C. star Richard Cabral as the title hitman who develops empathy for his targets as he takes one last job to support his ailing grandmother’s end of life care. Khali the Killer never received a theatrical release, rather direct-to-video and has been available on DVD and digital stateside since last November, and even available to rent on YouTube itself.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment had no comment on the snafu. Khahli the Killer is a third-party release for the label.

Fans who couldn’t wait to see the red band trailer of Sony’s upcoming “Khali the Killer” film were in for a major surprise when they went to check it out, and it wasn’t due to its violent content.
Instead, when the clip was posted on Tuesday, the entire movie landed on YouTube on Sony’s official page, accidentally giving fans an early viewing of Jon Matthews’ action movie.
The movie ended up being on YouTube for nearly eight hours before it was ultimately yanked, and the 46-second trailer has yet to be posted in an official capacity by the studio. In all, the video received nearly 11,000 views before it was taken down.

I can imagine this issue will be fixed before too long, but for those who want to hear about an error of colossal proportions, check this out. Sony just uploaded a Red Band Trailer for the film Khali The Killer, which is out on DVD and Blu-Ray, except they didn't upload the Red Band Trailer. Instead, someone messed up and uploaded the entire hour and a half feature to YouTube for people to watch absolutely free.
It's actually kind of stunning just how big of an error this is, to the point I almost have to tell myself it's some bizarre marketing tactic. Here's the synopsis for the film:
Khali (Richard Cabral) is a murderer and commits his murders in East L.A. His last job is the first time that his actions make him think about what he does for living.
The film is no longer available to watch on YouTube,...

You may not have heard of the film Khali the Killer, but for a brief, shining moment today, you could’ve watched the whole film for free. Because some unlucky intern at Sony accidentally uploaded the entire movie to the Sony YouTube page, instead of uploading the trailer. Whoops. In 2014, a hacker group hacked Sony Pictures, […]

In an era where audiences complain that movie trailers spoil too much, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment unveiled the most spoiler-filled trailer of all Tuesday morning when what claimed to be a YouTube version of the red-band trailer for Khali the Killer turned out to be all 89 minutes and 46 seconds of the movie.
The movie was written and directed by Jon Matthews and stars Richard Cabral as the titular hitman whose final job is ruined when he develops empathy for the intended victims. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment released the film on DVD in November last year.

In something of an unfathomable faux-pas, Sony Pictures temporarily uploaded an entire feature film to YouTube rather than just its red-band trailer.
The hour-and-a-half-long movie, titled Khali The Killer, has since been removed from the Sony Pictures Entertainment YouTube channel -- though it was live for for roughly six hours during which time it clocked roughly 11,000 views, The Independent reports. Commenters also wondered whether the upload was a marketing stunt, according to Cbr, and expressed their sympathy for the employees who would presumably be taking the fall for the fiasco.
