My Night on Set: An Interview with David DeCoteau (2015)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
Director David DeCoteau talks about how he was working for Roger Corman when they were hired to help on the production of ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, which led him to spending one day on the set and watching John Carpenter film a few pick up shots. At just 6-minutes there's nothing ground-breaking with this featurette but it's certainly a lot of fun as DeCoteau manages to tell some very fun stories. Some of the best stuff just deals with him talking about his appreciation of Carpenter and how he was already a fan before he showed up on the set. From here he tells another good story about working with Adrienne Barbeau years after this film. Again, there's certainly nothing wonderful here but fans of the film should still enjoy hearing these stories.
