Homage to Jess (2013)

This 8-minute tribute to director Jess Franco was put together by Daniel Gouyette shortly after the Spanish filmmaker had passed away. Alain Petit, Daniel Lesoeur, Bruno Terrier, Merrill Aldighieri, Stephane Derderian and Lucas Balbo are among the people interviewed and share their thoughts on what Jess is doing now that he's dead. This short seems a tad bit deranged to say the least and especially when it opens up with someone saying Jess is simply rotting in a grave but as it moves along it turns into a nice little tribute. Some say the Spanish filmmaker is doing nothing while others want to believe that he's reconnected with Lina Romay and they're filming a new movie somewhere. Overall this is strange and touching at the same time so Franco fans will want to check it out.
