“In the United Kingdom, an estimated 112,853 children are reported missing every year and around 3% of those missing disappear from their homes. This is a story about one of those children”
The story of Madeline McCann is one that has held the attention of the world since her disappearance. Everyone has an opinion on what happened, some believe the narrative given by the family and friends while others believe the countless conspiracies. There has been and undoubtedly will continue to be countless documentaries and mini-series on the case and well… it’s not going anywhere soon (rightly so by the way). One thing I think we can all agree on and I mean everyone, is that it is absolutely every parents worst nightmare.

For diehard fans of Respawn’s Titanfall series, Apex Legends remains something of a sensitive topic. The battle royale, a side project created unbeknownst to publisher EA, had originally been developed with the mind that it would be Dlc for Titanfall 2, though, as is so often the case with additional content, the scope of the project grew in line with ambition, leading to the creation of the standalone title enjoyed by millions today.
Unsurprisingly, the massive success enjoyed by Apex over the past year and a half has led to its developer dedicating more and more manpower to keep fans’ hunger for new content satiated, a move that’s inevitably led to Titanfall 3 being placed on the backburner. That’s not to say the threequel is dead and buried – quite the contrary, in fact, according to recent comments provided by EA – but it’ll likely be a while until the...

An often overlooked Apex Legends character is due to finally get the spotlight in a future season, it would seem.
Anita Williams, or Bangalore, as she’s more widely known, has flown under the radar ever since the battle royale’s launch last year in regards to story development, with the likes of Bloodhound, Wraith and Crypto largely getting the lion’s share of attention. It’s the latter of those three, in fact, that recently got their own Town Takeover event in Kings Canyon, but we’ve yet to see any such occasion for Apex’s so-called Professional Soldier.
Thanks to a recent exchange between player and creator over on Twitter, however, it looks like that’s all about to change in the weeks and months ahead. Replying to one fan’s query of whether Bangalore will receive more lore development anytime soon, Apex Legends writer Tom Casiello responded...

After launching in February of 2019, Respawn’s Apex Legends has become a massive success both commercially and critically, earning itself a spot among other popular battle royale titles like Fortnite and Pubg. Now in its fifth season, the game has grown into quite a different beast than it was early last year, offering plenty of new weapons, a second map, new game modes, and an ever-growing collection of lovable and fun new characters.
As the roster grows, however, Respawn is being forced to look back at some of the game’s initial launch legends to reconsider whether they’re remaining equally viable alongside arena newcomers. One such character is Lifeline, arguably the most adored from Apex Legends‘ original lineup, who’s seen very little in the way of updates to her kit since launch.

Today marks the release of Season 5 of Apex Legends, and with the update comes a bevy of huge changes to characters, guns, and gameplay mechanics that you’re really going to want to familiarize yourself with before jumping into King’s Canyon again. Let’s take a look at some of the most notable changes you need to know about.
Of course, one of the most important new additions to the game is the newest legend, Loba, who we’ve been learning about via trailers over the past few weeks. This new character will be very focused on loot, with a passive that allows her to view loot through walls and an ultimate that lets her teleport those items to other teammates. She’ll also have the ability to use her Jump Drive bracelet to teleport herself around the battlefield and gain access to all this shiny loot. All in all,...

Twitch Prime members can now get their hands on an exclusive new skin for Wraith in Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment has announced.
Forgotten in the Void is available free of charge for all subscribers to the platform from today until next month and requires only that those with eligibility sign into the battle royale’s dedicated Twitch page (link below) to grab a download code. Unlike the character’s strictly black-only default costume, this version of Wraith has been splashed with liberal amounts of vibrant purples and pinks that surely won’t be to everyone’s tastes.
For the low, low price of nothing, however, who are we to complain? Check out the limited-time outfit for yourselves via the gallery below:

The next major event for Apex Legends is almost here.
Confirmed last week, The Old Ways sees legendary hunter Bloodhound get his own Town Takeover event to follow Wraith and Octane, this time in the form of a limited-time PvE event. Available from tomorrow, Bloodhound’s Trials tasks the usual three-man squad with teaming up to face a new threat. Prowlers, extremely aggressive wild animals first seen in Respawn’s Titanfall series, have found their way into Kings Canyon and started reproducing like rabbits.
As a means of thinning the herd on both sides, so to speak, both human and beast will go head to head to see who comes out on top. Succeed in fending off the onslaught and you’ll be richly rewarded with rare loot, including legendary rarity weapons and armor. Fail, and, well, let’s just say this latest invasive species won’t go wanting for food anytime soon.

It looks like the current period of quietness in Apex Legends is about to come to an end.
Ever since the conclusion of collection event System Override, players have been getting back into the usual routine of grinding ranked modes and waiting for the next big event to kick off. Thankfully, Respawn is well aware of the need to keep things feeling fresh and are now ready to bring us the battle royale’s next notable content update.
Over on Twitter, the developer has revealed the upcoming Old Ways event, which will take a deep dive into Bloodhound’s backstory. See for yourself below:

It looks like the current lull period in Apex Legends is soon coming to an end.
Following the conclusion of collection event System Override last month, players have been settling back into the usual routine of grinding ranked modes in hopes of achieving the highest accolade of Apex Predator. Respawn, however, no doubt keenly aware of the need to keep core gameplay feeling fresh, appears almost ready to unleash the battle royale’s next major content update.
Over on Twitter, prominent Apex data miner Shrugtal has made an interesting discovery while going about their daily in-game routine, only this time, no deep dive into the files has been necessary. In fact, all one need do is load into a match and either make the hike up Sniper Mountain or drop on its peak at the beginning of a match. Do so, and you’ll happen upon the corpse of a strange-looking animal.

Apex Legends players who consider themselves Bloodhound mains could soon be in for a treat. Following the arrival last week of the battle royale’s latest event System Override, data miners immediately started rummaging around in the game’s files for hints pointing to potential future updates. Unsurprisingly, said digital excavations have yielded a number of interesting discoveries, including further evidence that a new Town Takeover centred around Bloodhound is on the horizon.
It’s worth noting, of course, that references to such an occasion have been unearthed before, but prominent leaker Shrugtal notes that, following last week’s patch, a number of amendments to the appropriate files suggest a release isn’t far off.
In fact, a specific date of Tuesday, March 31st is now present, though this is unlikely to be the start time for Bloodhound’s takeover itself but rather, the first teaser leading up to its arrival.

Apex Legends players welcomed the battle royale’s latest event to World’s Edge earlier this week.
System Override, similarly to past Collection-type events, brings with it a ton of both purchasable and unlockable cosmetics, with the latter being tied to new limited-time mode, Deja Loot. Keen to try something different this time around, Respawn’s latest experimental playlist does away with random weapon and item spawns and replaces them instead with static loot pools as well as brand new types of equipment. That being the case, good memory goes a long way here, with even drop ship trajectory and circle starting locations only rotating on a daily basis.
Plenty of playable content to digest over the next two weeks, then, but System Override also brings with it a wealth of balance and gameplay adjustments to existing content. We’ve already covered the nerfs and buffs rolled out to Gibraltar,...

A bumper upcoming Apex Legends update will finally make some much-needed adjustments to the battle royale’s metagame.
Included in the patch notes published earlier today for tomorrow’s System Override Collection event, Respawn Entertainment has detailed several substantial changes being made to problem areas of the sandbox, including a handful of characters either deemed too prevalent or underutilized. We’ll get to the meat of what’s been overhauled in just a moment, but first, see below for several tweaks being made to Gibraltar and Season 3’s Crypto.

Nothing too drastic here, then, but necessary nonetheless. Despite not too long ago being considered one of the weakest characters on the roster, Gibraltar has since become one of the multiplayer title’s most powerful.

Those that consider themselves kindred spirits with Apex Legends‘ Octane now have access to a special treat.
As of today, a new edition of the battle royale is available for all platforms and comes packed with a bunch of goodies dedicated entirely to the adrenaline junkie himself. The collection, which is currently only available as a digital download (retail versions are coming in the near future), will set you back a modest $19.99 and includes two special skins not available anywhere else. The Legendary rarity Arachnoid Rush skin swaps Octane’s usual steampunk aesthetic for a high-tech suit to match his mechanical lower limbs.
Fans in the market for some new wardrobe additions to the character’s wardrobe can check out the new look above.

The next addition to Apex Legends‘ highly sought after Heirloom items could be arriving soon, new leaks suggest.
For those unaware, the term refers to special cosmetic-only overrides for a specific character, usually taking the form of an override for any individual Legend’s melee attack. Just one of these – Wraith’s Kunai – was available at launch as an extremely rare drop from Apex Packs, though Respawn has since introduced several others. Lifeline, Pathfinder and Bloodhound have all received their own Heirloom items over the last 12 months, most of which were only available for a brief period in limited-time events.
The expectation, then, is that the studio will eventually get around to releasing one such trinket for every existing and future Legend as time goes on, and it appears as if the next in line to receive theirs has been revealed ahead of schedule.
