Beyond the medium of acrylic on canvas or that of live performance, the film itself was designed as part of the collaboration. Shot in a single take on both film and digital, the camera is participant as well as observer. The grain of the film becomes yet another canvas. Even that we step through, however, utilizing groundbreaking motion graphics that literally take us inside the painting.
Celebrated artist S.U.S.H./Tom Reyes and renowned drummer Vinnie Colaiuta team up for this collaboration of world class music and painting. They are joined by djembe drummer, Kahlil Cummings, dancer Dani Lunn. Produced in Japan and filmed in the historic Stagg Street Studio, Los Angeles.
