Strictly Come Dancing rose to nearly 8 million viewers last night (October 3), according to overnight data.
The BBC One dancing show nabbed 7.92 million (38%) and peaked with 8.95 million (43.1%) at around 7.30pm, despite competition from the Rugby World Cup.

Joe Swash has revealed that he'd love to see Paul Gascoigne enter the jungle - but only if he's "mentally on point".

Joe Swash would be surprised to see Gemma Collins re-enter the I'm a Celebrity jungle, but hopes she sticks it out if she does because "it's a waste of a spot for someone else".
The former King of the Jungle and Get Me Out of Here! Now! host told Digital Spy: "If she does it again, there's going to be pressure on her and an expectation for her to stay on to the end.
"If a celebrity quits after a matter of days, it's a waste of a spot for someone else. It was really unlucky last year because Craig Charles lost his brother and he had to leave early. And Gemma, she quit early. If she's going to do it again, I hope she stays and does it properly.
"If she doesn't then there's no point in doing it. She's got the potential to be entertaining... I'd be surprised...
