Decent

While I do love the fact that there is a song in every episode not many people might appreciate that. I would recommend the English subbed a lot more that the English dubbed version. The story line is also good but I just can't get myself to give it a great review because of the main character. Despite the fact that she is told NUMEROUS times by her brother to stay away from rem and the other student council members she never does and gets herself in trouble every time.

Absolutely brutal

Warning: Spoilers
I only watched half of the very first episode and no way am I ever going to give it another chance to watch it again! The songs were absolutely stupid and the fact on the English dub, some of the voice actors can't sing. It really made my ears bled from torturing myself in listening to these songs and like i just had to give up from watching it! I wouldn't even go for the Japanese sub either as the English dub really made me put off by this!

Avoid this anime, this is one of the worst ones I've ever bumped into!

I seriously hoped for more

I usually enjoy series with this premise however upon watching the first episode I could not understand how this girl that just watched her mother get attacked just went about her day and put herself in danger after that. I mean every decision she made was questionable. I just cannot get over the random singing and her bot being smart at all in these situations. I like the guys and their look but what are they even doing? I fail to see any plot leading anywhere but I guess it was not that deep a story. Anywho, the whole singing sequence where Lindo just declares his love for his sister just made me think, is he adopted? Are they step siblings? Not only do they not look alike at all but he appears to be in love with her.

A guilty pleasure

I love this. The main character starts as a typical unknowing blank slate, but gains personality and agenda as the show goes on and shows how she wish to be more than a pond in some battle for power. With the end shows. The boys are hot/cute. The songs are.... Some are so bad it's fun! I love it, even the rap. Others are better than l expected.

Its my no 1 guilty pleasure

Underrated, not dull

I was expecting less becacause of its rate but accually was good than I expect. Cute boys, and good story. Even the main girl has voice and can decide for herself:)) The mystery of story are more forefront than flirting, date, event etc. There were few singing scene, some good some stupid but tolerably.

So bad, it's brilliant

I was not expecting it to be a musical. The first song came out of nowhere and I could not stop laughing. Actually, every song made me laugh. The spoken dialogue makes you cringe until you have no other choice but to smile at how ridiculous and melodramatic it is. Some of the deliveries are wonderfully confusing-- are they serious, but being spoken in an unserious tone? Or vice versa? Keeps you on your toes, you know?

I have yet to recall more than one or two names. You mostly attribute each person to their trope/mental illness. For example, one person is the tough guy, one is the best friend, and another is a sadist for some reason.

Some songs are literally twenty seconds. Others are a couple of minutes. Again, it keeps you guessing. For all of this show's cliches, you have to give it credit for never being boring.

Not a single "devil" or villain is even remotely intimidating. It's perfect. They all fail to do their jobs both tonally and physically, and it kind of makes you want to be friends with all of them for trying their best. Maybe except the sadist.

I adore the random "engrish" that always finds somewhere new to sneak into the next song. I'm sure it's more profound in Japanese, but the English phrases that jump into the songs are some of the most unintentionally funny lyrics I've ever heard that make absolutely no sense with the rest of the number.

But what is undeniably the best thing about this series is the action. I don't understand how, but that also made me burst into laughter every single time there was an on-screen fight. Half the time, they're singing while fighting, which immediately strips the scene of any tension whatsoever. The first fight was amazing-- the hunky class president was (very slowly) jumping all over the place, kicking, hitting-- he even snapped a dude's arm in half, which was surprisingly brutal. Actually, there's a lot of gore in this show, especially in the last half. But then at the very end he literally snaps his fingers, and the bad guys disintegrate immediately. He could have annihilated everyone with this method, but the sheer fact that he actively chose to draw out the battle was very flattering as an audience member. It was like he really cared to entertain us.

A lousy day can be an amazing day with a show like this. Someone somewhere out there in Japan woke up and decided to bring their fanfiction to life. I genuinely hope this was a passion project, because it deserves praise for being able to make someone as jaded as me smile every time I think about it.

Minus one star for the incest side story.

Had to take off a star for the musical aspect

Warning: Spoilers
It was a great show to binge, so long as I skipped through about a minute of singing every episode. I actually wish there was a second season though. I was really disappointed by the open ending and I really wanna see what happens after the devil king returns.
