When the FBI agents are reviewing the evidence that was collected at the apartment, Agent Beeman is seen holding an evidence bag containing jewelry. There is a closeup view of the bag and there are two US patent numbers on it along with a Website address. A search of the US Patent Office database indicates that both numbers are real. Patent number 6,270,256 was filed on December 29, 1997. Patent number 6,471,058 was filed on May 4, 2001. Both are for tamper evident containers. The Website, "shop.crimescene.com" is an active Website as of May 14, 2016. The evidence bag shown in the episode is available for purchase at the site. The main time frame of the episode is occurring prior to April 8, 1983 (illusionist David Copperfield creating the illusion of the disappearing Statue of Liberty on that date is incorporated into the subsequent episode). This time frame is well before either patent and the Website came into being.
Philip mispronounces his own Russian birth name. It doesn't have a hard K sound, but a softer "kh" similar to the "ch" in the correct pronunciation of the Scottish word "loch".
