Quite Good for what it is
JJ-Chi4 March 2021
Acting is a bit weak at times, but still quite interesting and enjoyable. Centers on a group of young German twinks who are just beginning to make their way in life.

Actually quite good for what it is. This web series is produced on a voluntary basis by gay men (ages 17 to 27) as part of the LGBT youth center in Cologne Germany. The short episodes go by quickly.

Season 3 gets pretty serious ...and becomes much more meaningful.

Life and Friendship
fromdecatur-1012619 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Three excellent seasons. The core of the show is three best friends, young gay men. Around them are family of varying degrees of supportiveness, job and career aspirations, and of course love and/or sex. A relationship (ultimately two) don't work out due to sexual incompatibility. One of the friends leads a sexually free lifestyle, while one remains a virgin until he falls in love. Another falls into prostitution and promiscuity after the breakup of his two-year relationship. One deals with being HIV+ and how it impacts his relationships. The third season features an act of homophobic violence and is absolutely heart-wrenching. Make sure to say after the credits of the last episode to finish on a happier, hopeful note.

The three main actors do a good job. Their affection and compassion for each other is very believable. The rest of the core cast also make you care about their characters. The conflicts between the characters make sense and don't feel contrived, and do not lapse into melodrama. The music is good. Recommend.

Slow Burn

The first season and a half, while nice, lack direction. However it picks up half way through the second season and then the third is extremely powerful.

Oh yeah, I cried

Third season was a shock, the way the things happened was super great and I freaking love the idea of kinda having everyone's friendship/relationship situation in the opening. That was genial!

A super shout-out to the soundtrack choices and moments that they were placed. It caused so much drama and shock on how things happened, I really cried and got marked by it.

This is an independent production, you can't expect a a triple A TV Show, but it was really well produced and directed.

The only cons is that some things happened quite fast and no clear explanation, but it is somehow understandable. Big congratulations to all the casting team!

Very powerful third season

Love grows in this season overshadowed by tragedy. The performers are terrific, and while the pace may be slow for some, each moment seems fully realized by the terrific cast.

Absolutely worth sticking with.

This show runs for less than 20 episodes across 3 seasons, with many episodes being around 15 minutes in length. It is primarily in the German language with English subtitles.

The first season is a tad sketchy, with acting and direction not being strong at all, but the heart in the story kept me watching. In the final 2 seasons, you can see the show grow and the skills of the performers increase, with some amazingly heartfelt scenes towards the end of Season 2 and throughout season 3.

It's not "Queer as Folk" and it doesn't really Ty to be. It is far more down to earth and almost has a bit of a soap feel to it. It addresses a lot of different issues without ever feeling preachy. The characters all feel genuine and you really care about their stories.

Read the IMDb trivia section to understand where his show came from and it will make you truly appreciate how good the show is.

A series that goes nowhere
qui_j4 June 2021
This is just a huge pile of rubbish. The series has no direction, poor editing, a ridiculous script and very weak acting. Prime seems to be a dumping ground for stuff like this. It's no "Queer as Folk".....not even close!
