Following some of the extravaganza depicted in previous episodes (including murderous STD's, overthrown asylums, ...) the subject matter in "Booby Traps" admittedly feels somewhat weaker. During the race day across the Savage Lands, Arthur and Grace encounter a community of super-feminist Amazons on motorbikes. The women they capture are subjected to extended wellness sessions (oh, the horror!), while the men are imprisoned in cages and literally milked for their seamen. Grace isn't very interested in receiving a pedicure, but she does want to find out what the link was between these girly savages and her missing sister Karma. "Booby Traps" is my least favorite episode of "Blood Drive" so far, mainly because it features less of the typically absurd humor and excessive violence. Anti-hero Julian Slink also doesn't appear too prominently in this installment, while the largely uninteresting serial killer couple Domi and Cliff have leading roles. Nevertheless, it remains a fun and fast-paced way to spend an hour of your precious time.
