Roger Moore played James Bond in a sketch in an episode of the television series "Mainly Millicent" before he played the character on the big screen. The British spy goes on holiday, only to encounter Russian spy, Sonia Sekova, who happens to also be on holiday. This was a prophetic foreshadowing of Roger Moore's future. Nine years after he played in James Bond in that sketch in the TV show "Mainly Millicent", Moore in 'Live and Let Die' (1973) succeeded Sean Connery as the third actor to play James Bond in a cinema movie. Moore played James Bond for a record breaking twelve years and he played the part up until 'A View to a Kill (1985)' after which he retired, and was replaced by Timothy Dalton.
This short television sketch is included on most DVD and Blu-Ray editions of 'Live and Let Die' (1973).
Included as a special feature on the Live and Let Die (1973) disc in the Bond 50 bluray collection, released in 2013.
