Sex & Nudity

- The Joker and many of the inmates will occasionally say some suggestive things, however nothing too graphic.
- Some of Joker's thugs make sexual references about Harley Quinn, one saying that if Joker dies, he gets to "ride the Harley."
- In a Therapist interview, one woman says that a psychopath brutally murdered 20 women and left them all in a certain "Position".
- Two female characters wear form-fitting attire; however, they are minor characters.
Violence & Gore

- Players use violent moves to defeat enemies; it is never excessive or greater than the usual amount for superhero games.
- Players can stealthily incapacitate unsuspecting enemies; it is optional.
Profanity

- "Bitch", "ass", "bastard", "damn", "crap", "freakin", "piss", "hell", "turds", "balls", and "oh my God" are used in dialogue.
- Infrequent uses of "shit", "goddamn", "asshole", "prick", and "dick" that are only done by villains.
- The F-word is used once, but it is cut off before completion.
- Arkham city exploration contains mild profanity from inmates
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Players are occasionally required to identify and track traces of whiskey/tobacco during missions.
- Frequent smoking, and some drinking.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Bane and The Joker use a toxin called Venom, and it turns them into giant, muscular beasts.
- Zsasz's voice may be seen as menacing by some.
- The Joker releases the criminally insane who may appear creepy to some players.
- Killer Croc is very scary looking, and he is always saying that he will find Batman, tear him apart, and eat his bones. Also, his layer is in the sewers and he jumps at you from under the water and it can be very frightening.
- The Riddler's voice is heard often (although it is optional to complete the mission involving him), and it is always presented over a stuttering tape recording, which can sound creepy for some.
- The boss fight with Mr. Freeze can be rather frightening as you have to continuously move around so you might not always know where he is. You also have to think quickly when it comes to attacking him as there are a limited number of ways to attack him and the same tactic doesn't work twice.

Violence & Gore
- There are occasionally unconscious bodies on the floor; it is heavily implied that they died. There is also blood on the floor and walls.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The optional mission against Mad Hatter can be pretty disturbing. In it, Batman encounters Mad Hatter at a table occupied by several thugs wearing white rabbit masks (he fights them later). Plus, during the fight, Batman is revealed to be wearing a cowl that resembles a disturbing, screaming rabbit with yellow eyes instead of his usual bat cowl.
