This should be called the Movie and BYU Sports Nation. I am not into the movie scene, so I couldn't rate that portion of the daily Movie and Sports Nation. Therefore I give a 5 rating (10 for Sports Nation and 0 for Movie Nation.)
Jarom and Spencer do a wonderful job broadcasting live events. They know the sports, players, statistics, and are interesting to listen to. They make the games more exciting to watch.
My favorite parts of Sports Nation are the interviews and current updates of former BYU players.
However on the daily set of the Movie and BYU Sports Nation they have too much time to fill. Daily references are made to their favorite movies and in depth comparisons of movie characters to people in the sports field. If you are not into their brand of movies, you will find this part of the Movie Nation boring.
Many people I know watch Movie and BYU Sports Nation delayed on BYUtv.org. That gives them the ability to fast forward during the Movie Nation and only watch the interviews on BYU Sports Nation. They have great guests and do an excellent job interviewing.
As far as the Movie Nation goes, it appears that Jarom and Spencer have way too much time on their hands enabling them to see every movie the day it is released. This seems to be a theme, too much time on their hands. The show would be better if it were only 30 minutes so they could eliminate Movie Nation and concentrate on BYU Sports Nation.
Jarom and Spencer do such a wonderful job on BYU Sports Nation. Hopefully Movie Nation will be canceled some day.
