It's a very strong, dramatic finale, not a whodunnit in the sense, more of a catch me if you can thriller series. It definitely gained some momentum in the last few episodes. A few questions still to be answered, number one of course, what is Keith's fate to be.
Quite a surprising perpetrator in the series, but then people of all types can do the most extraordinary of things. I only wish they'd explained the motivations a little more.
I would argue that this first series took its time to get going, it took a little time for me to warm to the characters, all bar one, Lise. Lise was the one person it was hard to take to, and I think that was very deliberate, in this final episode she quite literally holds Cardinal's career in her hands. My opinion at the beginning of the show was very different to the one it ends with. I have the same view on John.
Will Lise return for the second series, I wonder.
