Possibly one of Dom Fera's best short films yet.

I've been following the work of Dom Fera for a long time-- about a decade. Even with seeing all of his other classic shorts (Ellie Heart, The End, Away, etc.) I think this one might be one of my favorites.

This film is less about the details, and more about the overall meaning of everything. Tackling an arguably exhausted genre-- being superheroes, and adding a brand new perspective to it. A perspective that hundred million dollar blockbuster's have yet to fully tackle. There's a powerful message of fear and bravery featured heavily in this film, and like any great superhero tale it's a message that is relatable to anyone.

This film also manages to get you to care about the character's quickly, which for a short film is one of the hardest things to do. Dom Fera also gives one of his best, and also heartbreaking performances I've seen towards the end of the short. You really feel the weight on his shoulders.

Overall, a pretty great short that shows off the work of one of the best modern filmmaker's today. Someone hire this guy already. He has a unique voice that deserves to be heard.
