Does this count as a Tim Burton movie? If so, it sure wasn't his brightest moment.

Warning: Spoilers
These almost 4 minutes we got here are the music video for the song "Bones" by the music band The Killers. This was released back in 2006 and from what I just say it wasn't a particularly big hit anywhere except in Brazil for whatever reason. Maybe they just like skeletons. So yeah, you could say it is a romantic rock number from the lyrics and sound of it all, but the inclusion of writer and director Tim Burton behind the camera gives it a fully different slightly creepy, slightly funny aura as the protagonists in this music video (as well as the lead singer) are able to remove their hair and skin as if it was clothes. The consequence is that we see a great deal of skeletons and bones in these slightly over 200 seconds, definitely more than expected. But that's also really all that is slightly memorable here to be fair. The song feels very generic and hardly offers anything content and lyrics-wise. So yes it is definitely better to watch the music video here than just listen to the record, but sadly not because the video is really good, but because the song is entirely forgettable without it. It's also not particularly catchy to be honest, so comes short in almost every field. Best decision is probably to skip this one unless you are a really huge Tim Burton fan and are curious about what he did after Corpse Bride. Oh yeah Devon Aoki is in it too and the male protagonist is known to some by 90210 I assume, but it's really not a music video that requires great acting skill. That's all. Skip the listen, perhaps the watch too.
