"M.I.L.F. $" (why is there a dollar sign in the title) is a music video from 2016, so still relatively new and in these 4 minutes we have Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie's desperate attempt to move forward with her solo career. She gets a great deal of support from familiar names and faces you can see on the cast list, such as Kim Kardashian West. I believe all of them are mothers because of the subject? There's plays on words with milkmen/milfmen, milk money/milf money and more, so yeah you know the direction this is heading. Honestly Fergie was never known for her great voice, but for catchy tunes and if these aren't there (like in this song), there is absolutely nothing and it lets me think she may not have been the most creative BEP band member. Anyway, back to this one here. it is a mess. It is not catchy, not even the chorus, there is no great singing here, the music video is embarrassing and no matter how hard I am trying, I just cannot see the slightest bit of artistic impact, so I am really glad it was this short. Then again, it is a music video, but hey somethimes these are also over six minutes. What else, yeah I also don't think it gives a particularly good name to mothers, or women as a whole to be honest. But it fits in nicely with how weak pop music (most of the very famous female singers) is right now. Also disappointed to see Kortajarena in here giving his name to this piece of sub-par quality gently-speaking. You really need to be a huge Fergie fan to see any value in here. Not even the visual side, costumes, make-up and sets left an impact on me. 100% style over substance. 100% mess. Stay far far away.
