One By One, I'll Kill You All
ThomasDrufke29 January 2019
There may never be a time when Arrow gets back to the greatness it saw in season 2 or 5, but every now and then I love seeing it succeed on a smaller level like it did tonight.

There are inevitably some things that made this episode incredibly frustrating, for one, the stupidity of that Curtis-Diaz arc. I mean why in the hell I just watch Diaz & company go through an entire fight and Curtis bite the dust, only for it to be some silly VR game that Curtis set up for Diaz. So now that it's over and he supposedly helped them figure out Donte's whereabouts (by the way, who is Dante again?) is it finally time Diaz is removed from the show?

I was also a little bit underwhelmed by the Felicity/Laurel arc, albeit much better than those two characters have been given this season. And I'm not sure if the ending scene with Dinah is supposed to be related, but I'm down for a new mystery.

That brings me to the highlight of the episode which was Oliver figuring out the new villain of the week was after him because he's the son of the man Robert Queen killed while on the lifeboat all the way back in 2007. Boy, Robert Queen hasn't had a good week, that's for sure. But in all seriousness, I love when the show tells mini arcs like this that actually narratively make sense. Of course, on a grander scale it was Prometheus in season 5 getting revenge for his father's death. Tonight it was only a one-off episode, but when the show focuses it's attention on being about Oliver & his family's past mistakes, it typically breeds good storytelling. It certainly helped tonight.

A good episode with some flaws

Warning: Spoilers
Can I just say that Queen family drama almost always makes for an entertaining episode. In saying that, Robert Queen's reputation has been tarnished more than Oliver's when he was a playboy. The past two episodes have not been kind to the deceased Queen and muchly deserved honestly.

Oliver finds that the person going after him is the guy that Robert kills on the raft back in the season 1 flashbacks. Bam, immediately the villain of the week has more an attachment/connection to our boy Ollie. I liked that a lot because it's much more interesting than some random villain. This guy had motive and I honestly understood his perspective here. The episode does well in allowing you to sympathise and that's pretty impressive when you consider that each episode is only 42 minutes (excluding ads).

I've been enjoying the Felicity/E-2 Laurel dynamic and it plays off even better in this episode. The two are fun to watch together, especially when Dinah joins in. Their relationships feel natural and don't come off as annoying. Also, hats off to Felicity as she's been really supportive to Oliver and Laurel.

I'm liking the dynamic between Ollie and Dinah working together. However, I'm hoping Ollie goes back to being Green Arrow and not working with the SCPD. I can see Queen and Dinah developing a stronger connection than the one Oliver has with Rene or Curtis and I'm totally okay with that.

Here's my problem with the episode... Curtis was just annoying. As well as the whole virtual reality thing. Curtis is honestly the most unnecessary character right now. I honestly hoped that he was actually dead when Diaz "snapped his neck".

Ghost/Suicide Squad is something I wanted more of this episode. Unfortunately, this episode only introduces the characters of the new team. I was a little disappointed we didn't get to see more of them or them interacting much. However, this does get me excited for what this season has in store for them.

8/10.

Something was off

Warning: Spoilers
This episode started out great with the flashbacks to Oliver and Emiko, but after that everything just seemed a little... off. Oliver was actually kind of boring and didn't really do much. It was a filler so I'll give it some leeway

A Serious Improvement......
Sam_Morningstar1 February 2019
'Past Sins' is the Next Installment of Arrow Season 7. This episode deals with 2 separate but similar and important stories; Oliver and Laurel and their 'Past Sin' left forgotten coming back to their Lives. The acting in this episode was really well done. The story was really poetic and was really beautifully done and was a serious improvement from the previous episode. Though there were still some questions left to be answered like 'Who is Dante?", being one main one. The tone of the episode was more lighter compared to other seasons. There were serious Character Development for not only Laurel and Oliver but also for Curtis. The Direction, Production, Writing and everything else was really well done. The Ending was left us excited to see what happens. The Show has seriously improved over the episodes.

So Overall Its a Solid 10 and I hope it continues in the same direction.

Hot DAAAAAAAAAMN!!!!

Warning: Spoilers
Arrow sure isnt stopping its surprises any time soon. The 'Suicide Squad' fight scene was phenomenal.Atleast they toned down on the flashforwards for some time, this gave a lot of room for another killer mystery,'One by One I'll kill You All'.Wow,for a sec I actually thought that was Laurel's stalker but at the last 2 mins It made sense why the dude didnt know Earth 2.The Curtis-Diaz issue was frustrating. This season proves that the Arrow crew really know what they're doing this season. This season is a full on redemption season for all the boring stuff they pulled back in Season 4&6.Amazing work

Proud of you Oliver :)
rabihwaked-213-68458130 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Well I must say that Oliver made me proud today when he came forward with the truth on TV. Gone are the days of lies, its all now about transparency, decency and true heroism. I was skeptical about Stephen Amell in the first seasons of the show, but boy, he has grown and matured in his role of Green Arrow and started to bring a much welcomed depth to the character. I love how calm and composed he is, even when disasters strike. A lot to learn from this on a personal level. Finally, I'd like to say that I was shocked/surprised when Curtis died in the simulation, but sighed in relief coz his character has been so boring and carried a heavy political correctness agenda behind it, that made me sick to my stomach.

sisdog-16 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Soooo she wants nothing to do with the Queen name, but chooses to dress as the Green Arrow instead of creating her own alter ego. This stupid Auicude Squad rip-off arch is annoying. The WRITING is soooooo bad.

When did I miss the storyline?
tapepool-453-47275730 January 2019
It's really painful trying to get through these recent episodes. I'm unable to follow the story and starting to hate the characters. Is this going to be the last season?

Really boring and another guilt full episode. Actually a stupid one, except the drama and action between Diaz and Curtis.
