In the beginning of the film a radio broadcast mentions authorities finding the body of "Gabriel Payne." This unseen character is named after a combination of director Glenn "Payne" and Richard Speight, Jr.'s character "Gabriel" from the show Supernatural.
The movie was filmed during an unusually cold spell. During the scene in which Roger cleans off the car window the squeegee was initially frozen into the bucket.
Director Glenn Payne storyboarded the entire film in advance, planning each camera angle by staging four chairs in his art studio.
"Terry's", that a drunk passenger requests to be dropped off at, is a reference to an establishment in the creators' series "Stagrassle Paranormal".
The satchel that Roger (Richard Speight, Jr) carries in the film actually belongs to Casey Dillard.
