Archived newspapers report that this program was telecast on the day of the worst blizzard in Cincinnati history. Few audience members attended and the show consisted largely of shots of the outside conditions. Viewers had no choice but to shovel snow or watch this program. Somehow, tuba player Michael Thornton managed to make it to the studio and, though tubas are usually hidden in the back of the orchestra, Thornton was front and center and became a Cincinnati hit due to this appearance.
